Prepare the file
Download the template from Import portfolio. Each row is one unit. Include unit_number and property_name or property_id. New properties also require address_line1, city, state and postal_code. Optional fields are address_line2, timezone, bedrooms and bathrooms. Use a valid IANA time zone such as America/New_York.
Match existing properties
Use an exact property name, ignoring case, or a property ID from an export. Several existing properties with the same name require an ID. Existing property and unit details are not overwritten. Repeated units are skipped. All rows for the same new property must agree on its address and time zone.
Preview before confirming
A Company Admin with an active workspace uploads up to 2,000 rows and 1 MB. The preview shows new properties, units, skipped duplicates and row-level errors. No writes happen during preview. Correct every error before confirming. Confirmation rechecks capacity and permissions and commits all valid rows together.
Recover from an interrupted import
Retry the same confirmation if the network drops. Its idempotency key prevents duplicate imports. If the portfolio changed after preview, confirmation validates it again and may ask you to correct the file. The current company unit limit still applies.
